(Heh, I like the title to this journal...)

I understand that it is what some may say "past the beginning of November", but I don't think too many people are reading my journals anyway, and the ones who do read them understand. *thanks God she's not whitedog1*

Anyway, despite the fact that the wait was a bit longer, I can now say that I have finally bought the desired scanner (I told you I'd get it!! ^___^) and a bit more. Well, to say that I have a bit more is a little bit of an overstatement. I went into Best Buy planning to get a reglar, seperate scanner (we already have a printer) for my family's (we all share a computer. I don't have a laptop. >.> ) computer and I came out with an HP Photosmart Plus printer and a pack of non-smudge, water-resistant(<-wtf?) paper (compliments of my Dad). It's basically a printer with a scanner. At least to my knowledge (I'm not all that edicated with printers). However, the guy there explained enough to me for me to figure out that it was a good 'starting out' printer for me. It can hold seperate color cartridges which means that if I run out of, let's say blue ink, I only have to go by blue ink. With a regular printer, color cartridges are three colors into one, so if you run out of blue ink, you have to buy a whole 'nother cartridge. Basically, if one ink goes out, you have to replace all three. So I did good with picking my seperate-color-cartridge-printer.

So. I'll probably have it set up tomorrow and will play with it a little. Then I'll become the scanning Typhoon. I can literally taste the pictures...(heeheee title reference).

I'm planning on putting even my really bad drawings on here too(please don't be frightened) for two reasons:
1. So I can see my improvement (confidence boosts never hurt >.< )
2. So everyone else can see that I didn't start out with masterpieces (not that I have any masterpieces now or anything). I don't think that enough artists do that. So when you look at all their good pictures, you get a little more discouraged to draw because you don't think you'l ever be as great as them. I don't want to be like that. I want people to scrunch up their nose and wince and laugh at my horrid scribbles WITH ME y'know? Show everyone that I love my failures just as much as my successes.

As I usually do with all of my electronic devices, I've named my new printer. Please give a warm welcome to CARL. He's quite different from my other things because he was not named from his creator (ex: My phone is named Pantech, my mp3 player is Zune, etc)
CARL was $120.
His name must be in all uppercase letters. (There's no specific reason other than my own insanity.)
